Dior Homme
Paris, indeed, is art. And when it's best menswear designers unleash their creative geniuses, it is a work made in heaven. It is one daunting task to single out the best work of art from amongst an ocean of best. Although some labels got so caught up with their own creativity (too many pieces splattered with paints and what have yous), the best ones stood with their most cherished concepts and wove one masterpiece after another. Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri for Valentino, Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver for Lanvin, and Humberto Leon and Carol Lim for Kenzo were some of the those who managed to perfect their craft. But it was Kris Van Assche for Dior Homme who stole Paris' limelight, not for himself, but for the great designer Christian Dior. He stayed true to the house's design aesthetics and forayed it into the present digital age. It is as cohesive, strong, and beautiful as it can get. Monsieur Dior would have been very proud.
